GETTING TO ALUSHTA

It's very easy to get to Alushta from Simferopol, and also from Yalta by trolleybus. The ticket cost about $1 but you have to spend 1.5 hours to get to Alushta from Simferopol and 1 hour from Yalta. A taxi driver could charge you $15-20 in the season and less in Winter/Fall/Spring time.
There is a very nice Marble cave on Chatir-Dag but if you want to visit it you should use a car, turn to the right in Zarechnoe village and go 12 more kilometres up to the mountains. As soon as you enter into Perevalnoe village you'll see a red sighn "The red cave". It is one more and well known cave.         You should turn left and go on the road 6 more km to reach the cave. Would be nice to stop at restaurant "Nadezhda" just before Angar pass. They have some tables near a forest, near by stream and serve a nice food and good coffee. You would see Chatir-Dag mountain on the right side of the road which will be visible 5 minutes after you leave "Nadezhda".
Pay attention to Demerdgy Mountain which appear when you'll pass higest point of the road "Angar pass" - 752 metres above sea level. Demerdgy will be visible on the left side of the road and you will certanly recognize it as a most attractive mountain.
