Kerch is easternmost city of Crimea but it doesn't mean it is less interesting to visit. :-) It is very old city - people celebrated 2500'th birthday of it in 2000.  There are several archeological sights and a big man-made cave which is museum of World War II now. The Adzhimushkai quarries have become a monument to the valour and staunchness of  Soviet soldiers it the Great Patriotic War. Here remnants of fortifications, gas-proof shelters, signalling, and well are preserved. The entrance into the undeground museum is flanked by 10-metre high pylons with high-relief representations of the participants in the heroic struggle. They were erected in 1982 after the design by sculptors Ye. Gorban and B. Klimushko, and architects S. Mirgorodsky and V. Sentsova.
